When you walk into Gymbox Elephant and Castle the first thing you think is WOW! This is a gym like no other. The space is huge!

Lightivity were again asked by Gymbox to develop and design a lighting scheme for this amazing space. Originally conceived as a cinema space, the gym occupies two floors full of fitness equipment. There are two multi-functional studio spaces and a spin cycle studio. In the middle of the club there is huge void area containing a large scale fitness frame system and running track!

Oh, it also has an olympic size combat ring and punch bag area.....

 

The lighting design is a key element within the overall interior design of the space, as it needs to provide functional light across a wide range of spaces and spacial heights and of course needs to create a dramatic visual spectacle whilst still upholding the original ethos and look/feel that has become synonymous with the growing Gymbox brand.
